Cleansing. Fresh start. Emergency essence. Great cleanser of systems. For the burning desire to heal on all levels. For an itch in the soul where it wants to start afresh and clean. For stressing on any level and spiritual fevers. Unwanted debris taken from psyche. Helps cope with quick changes of temperature of any kind. Miasms.

Background to the essence Nettle/St John the Stranger

St John the Stranger (Ayios Ioannis Xenos, or Hermitis, the "hermit") is a Cretan saint who brought Christianity back to Crete around 1000 AD. He lived in a huge cave in west Crete which is now a church, and is thought to have left some divine magic in a stalactite in the cave. It is a very healing place, and it links with the energy of flowering nettles, to make the essence. This is the first essence I made without physically putting plant or other material in water.

Start afresh this time.
Many times you have tried
To write this poem.
But each start was false.

Cleanse the mind of doubt.
Wash with cave water
So the itch you felt
In the spirit eases.

The soul itches to move on.
Starting afresh and clean
It is strong enough
This time to carry onward.

Why do you wait?
The green cave is there
For you as it was for me
And I left healing, inside
