15. REED SEA

Transition. A "phoenix" essence. Major moves from one phase of life to another. Eases and integrates the changes. For times of self-doubt when there is as yet no firm foundation. Soul nourishment when feelings of being in the desert, of desolation, of a leaving behind, when the new has not yet been reached. For assimilation of different cultures and belief systems, acceptance and tolerance. Respect for others who are different, but also for integration, rather than keeping separate. Integration of systems creates something new, new energy and harmony. Avoids hostility where overwhelmed by different energies. For places with layers of history, different cultures and beliefs. Integrates the past and allows something new to be created. Helps with assimilating different energies from foods.

Background to the essence Canaan

This essence used the energies of Genesis and Exodus, the transit. It is the taking through the desert, and was very important for me in my transit of trust about what the essences were doing in the world. I had to let them go, and trust that they would have a life of their own, even though I did not know what would be their true destiny.

15. SEA OF REEDS or REED SEA

When the reed sea parted
A nation was formed
The old was engulfed.
So it is with life transition.
You close your own door
Leaving no handle on your side.
The Sea of Reeds returns
And the way back is gone.
Wait at your point of arrival
For the desert is in front of you.
The sea of sand
Before you get to the pass.
The way is known to you
But is locked in your structure.
The numbers are all there
Encoding the phoenix fires
Which await this moment.
Only the best can go through,
Pass through the narrow way,
The rest of what you were
Becomes the sand
