18. BLUE LILY

Initiation. For being tested – often to the limits. For spiritual initiation. For the cold of having the floor pulled out from under you. For warming to something inside you have not seen before. Holds you in the stillness so you can work through to your inner core self and see. You realise you are the minutest point within you, the enigma which is the invisible part of the universe. For helping get through more quickly something chosen or volunteered to take on in life. Dissatisfaction – something vaguely wrong. Things no longer enough. For fear of the spiritual "elite", and for the "loneliness of the mystic".

Background to the essence Blue Lily/Pharaoh

Following the Myrrh essence, I realised this was an initiation. I was surrounded by the energies of ancient Egypt and knew that the Blue Lily (or lotus) was the energy that was needed for the essence. This essence supports those who are initiates in the west. After the Kumbh Mela festival in India the work of these initiates grew, as their responsibilities to raise consciousness were taken from the east. This is a time of great importance, when much work is to be done in the west, and we do not need to look to the east for inspiration. The changes are occurring here.

18. BLUE LILY

The lily is blue, not white
When it is an enigma.
There is a testing called initiation
When they all stand aside,
Your teachers.
The triangles form for you
Giving you choices of path
From the minutest point within you
To the outer points of exploration.
When you pass through the triangles
The edges form nebulous clouds
Because you are stalking
A new vision
Having passed the test.
The loneliness of the few
Who walk through the clouds
Is comforted by this lily,
Supported by its ancient blue.
Take the lily higher
When you are ready.
They need you
To keep testing yourself.
You do it for others.
There is no point
In self-gratification.
Help someone else up
And you will find yourself there too
With them.
Your honour is earned.
